Your AV FAB CO. product is manufactured from raw steel and may naturally develop surface oxidation or rust due to exposure to moisture, humidity, temperature changes, or handling. This is normal and expected with unfinished steel products. To help protect and preserve your product, we recommend seasoning the steel prior to use and periodically throughout its lifetime.
Recommended Seasoning Process:
1. Wash thoroughly with soap and water, then dry completely before seasoning.

2. Apply a light, even coat of cooking oil or your preferred food-safe seasoning oil to all surfaces, including grill tops, front and back sides, edges, & welded areas.

3. Place the fully assembled product on a cooking tray or heat-safe surface.

4. Heat in an oven at 450°F for approximately 1 hour. (Only for items that can fit and you choose to place in oven)

5. Skip step 3&4 if items don't fit in oven or simply choose not to use that method & season directly before use during initial operation.

Regular maintenance and seasoning will help reduce oxidation and improve the longevity and appearance of the steel over time.
